Page Day

Spend a day in the Indiana legislature with other cooperative students

Are you a high school student and receive electric service from Tipmont REMC? Do you want to spend the day as a page at the Indiana State Legislature? If so, you might be the perfect candidate for Page Day.

Page Day is an interactive, educational experience that allows high school students to witness state government in action.

Each day features a tour of the governor’s office and the Indiana Statehouse, as well as the opportunity to meet the students’ local state representative. Pages also observe floor sessions, learn about current legislation and assist staff members.

2018 Eligibility and Program Dates

High school students are eligible to participate. Application deadlines are one week prior to each program date.

  • HOUSE: JANUARY 31, 2018 Apply by Jan. 22, 2018
  • SENATE: February 7, 2018 Apply by Jan. 29, 2018

Requirements

You must be available Jan. 31 or Feb. 7, 2018 and have reliable transportation to and from the Indiana Statehouse that day. The program is open to high school students. Page Day is considered an excused absence in most instances; however, students are advised to confirm with school administrators prior to applying.
