Board of Director Candidate Petitions Due May 13, 2010

How about serving on the Board of Directors of Tipmont REMC?

Have you ever been interested in becoming a candidate for the Board of Directors of Tipmont REMC? This may be the year for you!

You only need to have 25 valid Tipmont members sign a petition and you will be on the ballot and become a candidate for the position of Director. (Candidates are encouraged to get more than 25 signatures to ensure that at least 25 will be validated. A valid signature must be from a member whose name appears on the electric bill.)

Your petition must be submitted to Tipmont by May 13, 2010. A sample petition is available from the Tipmont REMC office in Linden or by email. Tipmont members will have the opportunity to vote for three directors at this year’s Annual Meeting on Saturday, August 7.  For 2010, members will be voting on candidates for Districts 1, 3, and 7. (Refer to the map for Director districts.) If you live in one of those districts and you are interested in serving as a Director, please use the petition process to become a candidate.
