A tractor-trailer left the road and broke a pole near the intersection of US 52 south and Indiana 28 east near Clarks Hill. After cutting the wires away from the vehicle we were able to restore power in 2 and half hours. Part of the customers were back on in less than 1 and half hours.

A vehicle accident broke a Duke Energy transmission pole near our Cherry Grove substation on US 231 south of Linden caused major outages through out north east Montgomery County. Our Linden Substation serves approximately 775 customers in the Linden-New Richmond areas were out of power an hour and 20 minutes. The 750 customers served from our Darlington substation were out of power for approximately 2 hours. It took four and half hours to restore power the our 380 Cherry Grove customers. This is an area north of Crawfordsville.
